The film was produced by SVF Production and was directed by Kamaleshwar Mukherjee. Amazon Obhijaan is the sequel to the Bengali movie Chander Pahar which is also the highest-grossing Bengali movie. Famous Bengali actor Dev Adhikari commonly known as Dev plays the role of an explorer Shankar Rai Choudhuri. The film was praised by the viewers and critics which helped the film to become an all-time highest-grossing Bengali film.
Chander Pahar
Chander Pahar is the second highest-grossing film in the Bengali Film Industry. This movie is just behind the previous movie Amazon Obhijaan in terms of box office collection. Before Amazon Obhijaan’s release, Chander Pahar was the all-time highest-grosser in the Bengali cinema with a total box office collection of more than 25 crore rupees. The film was produced by Shree Venkatesh Films (SVF) Production House, the same production house which produced Amazon Obhijaan. The film was directed by Kamaleshwar Mukherjee and it was his first movie which became an all-time highest-grosser in 2013. Chander Pahar is the prequel to the movie Amazon Obhijaan. Dev Adhikari played the role of the lead character Shankar Ray Choudhuri. The film was released in both India and Bangladesh due to Dev’s fan following in both countries.
Paglu
Paglu is another Dev Adhikari film that adds up to the list of all-time blockbuster Bengali movies. The film was released in the year 2011 in India and Bangladesh. There is a huge number of people in Bangladesh who are a regular viewer of Bollywood and Tollywood movies. The film was a blockbuster hit and earned more than 12 crores at the Tollywood Box Office. Yeti Obhijaan

The film was well-praised by the audiences of India and Bangladesh. The film was directed by Srijit Mukherji and was written by Sunil Gangopadhyay. The story of the film revolves around a team who climbs up the mountains to look for mystical beings known as Yeti but instead find out about some illegal activities going on inside the mountain caves. The film features Prosenjit Chatterjee and Aryann Bhowmik in the lead roles.
